Figs

Instructions:

  1. Place the block of Feta cheese in the center of a small baking dish or oven-safe dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the Feta, making sure to coat it evenly. If desired, sprinkle some freshly ground black pepper and dried herbs over the top.
  2. Bake the Feta in the preheated oven in 190°C for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is softened and starting to brown slightly around the edges.
  3. For Baked Feta with Honey:
    • Once the Feta is baked, remove it from the oven and drizzle Greek honey over the top. You can also sprinkle some chopped nuts, such as walnuts or almonds, for added flavor and texture.
  4. For Baked Feta with Jam:
    • Remove the baked Feta from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spread a generous amount of fruit jam over the top of the warm Feta. Serve immediately with sliced baguette, crackers, or bread for dipping.
  5. Serve the baked Feta with honey or jam immediately while it's still warm. Enjoy the creamy, savory goodness of the Feta cheese paired with the sweet honey or jam!

Both combinations are popular in Greek Mediterranea cuisine and are often served as part of meze (appetizer) spreads or enjoyed as a light snack.

Enjoy!
